Domaine Mas Crémat

The winery is located in the municipality of Espira-de-l'Agly in the French region of Roussillon. It was founded in 1990. Julien (winemaker) and Christine Jeannin (cellar master and oenologist) took over the business from their parents in 2006. The vineyards cover 25 hectares. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grenache Blanc(Garnacha Blanca), Macabeo, Muscat Blanc, Roussanne and Vermentino, and the red wine varieties Grenache Noir(Garnacha Tinta), Syrah, Marselan, Mourvèdre(Monastrell), Carignan Noir(Mazuelo) and Marselan. The vineyard is managed according to organic farming guidelines certified since 2020. The farm is certified according to the highest of the three levels of environmental certification for farms (HVE = Haute Valeur Environmentale).

The selective harvest is done exclusively by hand. The sites and grape varieties are all grown separately. Each parcel is subjected to specific cultivation methods in the vineyard and development methods in the cellar. A cool fermentation is carried out to preserve the fruitiness. For gentle extraction of the ingredients, overpumping is used in the red wine fermentation. Maturation takes place mainly in 300 to 400 litre barrels. The Cuvée l'Envie matures in stainless steel tanks. The product range includes wines from the AOP areas Côtes du Roussillon, Côtes-du-Roussillon-Villages and Muscat de Rivesaltes, as well as the IGP area Côtes Catalanes. The flagship of the house is "Cuvée Dédicace" (AOP Côtes-du-Roussillon).
