The winery is located in the municipality of Rocuefort-sur-Loire, 20 km southwest of Angers in the Département Maine-et-Loire in the French wine region of the Loire. The traditional winery has been owned by the Baumard family since 1634. It was reactivated by Jean Baumard in the mid 1950s. Since 1992 it has been managed by son Florent Baumard. The vineyards cover 40 hectares on both banks of the Loire. The white wine varieties Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay and the red wine varieties Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are cultivated. The vineyard is cultivated according to ecological principles, but is not certified organic.
