The winery is located in the municipality of Calce in the Département Pyrénées-Orientales in the French wine region of Roussillon. After practical experience in South Africa and France/Saint-Émilion at Château Canon-La-Gaffelière, oenology studies in Geisenheim and the job as cellar master at the South Tyrolean winery Manincor, the winery was founded in 2006 by Thomas Teibert from Ulm (Germany) and the Christ family.

The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards on limestone gravel with a high stone, clay and iron oxide content at the foot of the Pyrenees above Perpignan. The white wine varieties Macabeo, Grenache Gris(Garnacha Roja) and Muscat Blanc are cultivated, as well as the red wine varieties Carignan Noir(Mazuelo), Grenache Noir(Garnacha Tinta) and Syrah. Some of the vineyards are very old, with an average age of 70 and some even over 100 years, and are cultivated in the traditional goblet style, free-standing without support. They are cultivated biodynamically according to the rules of the organic association BIODYVIN, which has been certified since 2011.
