The winery is located in the commune of Entrechaux in the Département of Vaucluse in the French wine-growing region of Rhône. The traditional family has been growing wine since 1820. Maurice Gely (1929-1994) started his own wine production in 1954, until then the grapes were supplied to a co-operative. His son Christian Gely later took over the business, which is now run by his grandson Jean-Christophe Gely.
The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vines at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The white wine varieties Clairette, Grenache Blanc (Garnacha Blanca), Roussanne and Viognier are cultivated, as well as the red wine varieties Grenache Noir (Garnacha Tinta) and Syrah. A maximum yield limit of 20 hl/ha applies to the top red wines.
