The white grape variety comes from Italy. Synonyms are Malfiore, Parlano, Uva delle Vecchie and Uva Dolce. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. The medium to late ripening vine is almost exclusively cultivated in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region. In 2016, 6 hectares of vineyards were designated with a decreasing trend (Kym Anderson).
