The wines of the former DOC area in the Italian region of Piedmont were absorbed into the Dogliani DOCG area from the 2012 vintage; see there.

DOCG area for red wine in the Italian region of Piedmont. The old designation until 2011 was Dolcetto di Dogliani Superiore; this year the two DOC areas Dolcetto di Dogliani and Dolcetto delle Langhe Monregalesi were discontinued and the Dolcetto red wines were transferred to the new Dogliani DOCG area.
