Disznókő

The winery with its headquarters and main cellar in Mezözombor in the Hungarian wine-growing region of Tokaj-Hegyalja was founded in 1992. It is owned by the AXA insurance company. The vineyards cover 110 hectares of vines (10 of which are leased), planted with 60% Furmint, 28% Hárslevelű, 10% Oremusz (Zéta) and 2% Muscat Lunel (Muscat Blanc). The name is derived from Disznókő. The winery is a member of the "Tokaj Renaissance" association and produces all typical brands of Tokaj. The dry wines are vinified reductively, the aszús gently oxidatively.
