The winery is located in the municipality of Neumarkt (Egna) in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol (Trentino-South Tyrol). It was founded in 1987 by Peter Dipoli, who returned to his parents' fruit farm after his training at the Institute in San Michele all'Adige and after five years of work at the Laimburg Experimental Centre. The start was made by purchasing 1.2 hectares in the Penon district of the municipality of Kurtatsch. After a complete replanting of the vineyard with Sauvignon Blanc vines, the first harvest took place in 1990. In the first years the grapes were processed externally, in 1998 a separate cellar was put into operation. The vineyards cover 4.6 hectares. They are planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The three wines Fihl (Merlot), Iugum (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and Voglar (Sauvignon Blanc) are pressed as DOC South Tyrolean. About 40,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
