Didinger

The winery is located in the municipality of Osterspai (Loreley area) in the German Mittelrhein wine growing region. The family has been growing wine since 1620. Today the business is managed by Jens Didinger. The vineyards comprise almost four hectares of vineyards in the individual locations of Fässerlay, Feuerlay and Mandelstein in Bopparder Hamm. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (80%), Müller-Thurgau and Kerner, as well as the red wine varieties Spätburgunder and Dornfelder. The winegrowing is close to nature and environmentally friendly, for example without insecticides and only fertilization with pomace and compost. The Rieslings are predominantly fermented in stainless steel tanks cooled with the help of pure yeast. The Pinot Noir is also matured in barriques.
