Subsequently, Derenoncourt worked for around 20 renowned wineries in Bordeaux, including Château Chambert, Château Jean Faure, Château Le Prieuré, Château Prieuré-Lichine, Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Château Vray Croix de Gay, Clos Fourtet and Domaine de Chevalier. He was hired by Francis Ford Coppola in 2008 for his winery. He has also consulted in China, India, Italy, Lebanon, Austria, Spain, Syria and Turkey. With his wife, he runs the wineries Domaine de l'A in the Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux area and Derenoncourt California in the Napa Valley, as well as the distribution company "Terra Burdigala" for quality wines with the wine merchant François Thienpont.
