Designation for a compact form of grapes with berries lying close together. The opposite of this, so to speak, is the conceptually self-explanatory loose-berried; see there.

A term (also shaggy) for the shape of the arrangement of the berries, which is a characteristic morphological feature of a bunch of grapes and table grape in addition to the shape of the bunch (shouldered or unshouldered). The berries are loosely arranged so that there is more or less space between them, in contrast to clusters with dense berries.
