The Cognac House was founded in 1824 and is still owned by the family today. Only cognacs from the Grande Champagne area are produced. The grapes are carefully harvested and the young distillates are stored in basically older barrels. A special feature of the house is that, as a matter of principle, only distillates of the same vintage are used in the assembly of the final products. Afterwards a further two-year storage in barrels takes place. The four qualities "Pale & Dry" (far above VSOP class), "Vesper", "Très Vénérable" and the top product "Réserve de la Famille" (no blending, comes from a barrel) are produced. The first three have an alcohol content of 40% vol., the latter 43% vol.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
