Term (also decarbonisation) for the conversion of an economy, especially the energy economy, towards a lower turnover of carbon or reduction of greenhouse emissions. The aim is to create a carbon-free economy as part of the energy transition in the context of the negative effects of climate change, particularly for agriculture and viticulture. The relentless burning of fossil fuels such as petrol, oil and coal produces huge amounts of additional carbon dioxide, which causes the so-called greenhouse effect. It is contained in the earth's atmosphere as a trace gas with a volume share of about 0.038%.
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
