The winery is located in the municipality of Sennfeld-Schweinfurt (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The winery was built up by Ullrich and Horst Dahms. In the meantime, it is run in the third family generation by the sons Jürgen (graduate viticultural engineer) and Alexander Dahms (winemaker, commercial specialist). The vineyards cover 9.5 hectares of vines in the single vineyards Peterstirn (Schweinfurt), Schlossberg (Mainberg) and Eselsberg (Stammheim). Grapes are also purchased from other sites. The white wine varieties Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Traminer and Scheurebe, as well as the red wine varieties Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Regent, Domina, Zweigelt and Rondo are processed. The vineyards are cultivated according to the philosophy of the house and the principle of a gentle treatment of nature and plants. The premium line includes the three wines Pinot Noir, Silvaner and Rondo, which are also offered as magnums (1.5 l). In years with suitable weather conditions, Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines are also produced. In addition, bottle-fermented vintner's sparkling wines, noble brandies (fruit, fruit), secco (sparkling wines) and liqueurs are also produced.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
