Crimson Seedless

The white grape variety (also C 102-26) is a new breed between Emperor x Fresno C33-199, the father variety is the result of several complex crosses with the participation of, among others, Italia, Muscat d'Alexandrie, Muscat Blanc and Sultana. The cross was made in 1979 in the USA by the breeders David W. Ramming and Ronald E. Tarailo. The red berry variety is mainly used as a table grape. In Ethiopia (6 ha) and Peru (2 ha) it is also used as a wine grape, where in 2010 stocks were identified (Kym Anderson).
