The winery is located in the community of Langenlonsheim in the German Nahe wine region. The business, previously managed by Helga and Helmut Binzel, was handed over to son Andreas in 2005. Andreas studied viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim and gained practical experience in the Simi Winery (Alexander Valley, California), Bergkelder (South Africa) and Babich (New Zealand). The vineyards cover 5.5 hectares of vineyards in the individual sites Königsschild, Löhrer Berg, Rothenberg and Steinchen (Langenlonsheim), as well as Hipperich and Rosenteich (Guldental). More than 90% of them are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling,Pinot Gris, PinotBlanc, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Scheurebe and Huxelrebe, the rest with the red wine varietiesPinot Noir and Dornfelder.
