Côte de Nuits

Designation for the northern half of the Côte d'Or area in Burgundy. However, there is no appellation called Côte de Nuits, but there are some called Côte de Nuits-Villages and Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits. The latter applies to the hills above the Côte de Nuits. See also under Bourgogne.
