IGT (Land wines)area for white, red and rosé wines in the Italian region of Tuscany. It covers 350 hectares of vineyards in municipalities in the coastal provinces of Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Massa Carrara and Pisa. Grape varieties authorised in the region may be used. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question, up to 15% may be other varieties. For certain types of wine, a minimum alcohol content and a maturing period are prescribed.
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
