The winery is located in the community of Bad Kreuznach-Bosenheim in the German Nahe
wine region. The origins go back to 1832, when the first Korrell founded his business in Bosenheim. In the 1960s, Johann Wilhelm Korrell began with the first own bottling
. With the takeover of Herbert Korrell at the end of the 1970s, the company began to market itself professionally. Since 2010 the company has been managed by Sebastian and Kathrin Korrell, the sixth generation of the family. At the beginning of 2014 they moved into a new manor house on the outskirts of Bosenheim. The vineyards comprise ten hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Paradies and Rosenberg (Bad Kreuznach)
They are stocked with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau/Rivaner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Portugieser, Pinot Noir and St. Laurent. An environmentally friendly cultivation is carried out "with respect and consideration for nature". This includes, among other things, the control of the grape berry moth with pheromone traps
The white wines are mostly aged in steel tanks under temperature control, but also after spontaneous fermentation
in wooden barrels. The red wines mature in barriques for up to 18 months. Among the premium wines are the white wine "Cuvée blanc" (from Burgundy varieties) and the red wine "Saint Laurent", both of which are also bottled in magnums
. We also produce bottle-fermented sparkling wine and Secco (sparkling wines), grape juice, wine jelly
and noble brandies (yeast, wine). The winery is a member of the association Generation Riesling.
