The "Wein- & Sektgut Corbet" is located in the municipality of Neustadt-Diedesfeld (area Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße) in the German wine growing region of the Palatinate. It is managed in the fourth family generation by Lukas and Christina Corbet. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards on the slopes of the Haardt Mountains in the districts of Diedesfeld, Hambach, Maikammer and Neustadt. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Silvaner and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent. Consistently environmentally friendly viticulture is practised. The wines are hardly moved and filtered during the ageing process, fining and sweet reserve are avoided. The white wines are fermented slowly and stored on the fine yeast for a longer period of time. With the aim of producing dense, strong red wines, the yields are greatly reduced and only healthy grapes with good colouring are hand-picked. After the maceration and BSA fermentation, they are aged in small wooden barrels or in barriques. A speciality of the house is the sparkling wine production in our own sparkling wine cellar according to the traditional bottle fermentation method.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
