Approach to plant protection with the rigorous use of chemical plant protection products(pesticides) in the fight against pests. This is done with regular preventive spraying without controlling the development of diseases and pests and without considering the negative effects on the ecosystem.
This goal of a preferably total destruction of the pests is no longer practiced today. Today, the two environmentally friendly forms of cultivation, integrated plant protection and biological plant protection, are common in viticulture.
