The red grape variety comes from Greece; the name is derived from the municipality of Kollines. Synonyms are Bergiotiko, Eugeniko, Evgeniko, Eygeniko, Kolliniates, Kolliniatico, Kolliniatika, Kolliniatis and Vergiotiko. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. The vine produces colourful red wines. It is cultivated in Peloponnese. However, no stocks were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson).
