DOC area for red wines in the Italian region of Piedmont. The zone encompasses the two municipalities of Pagno and Piasco, as well as parts of the municipalities of Brondello, Busca, Castellar, Costigliole Saluzzo, Dronero, Envie, Manta, Martiniana Po, Saluzzo, Verzuolo and Villar San Costanzo in the province of Cuneo. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the vineyard name can be indicated on the bottle label.
The Rosso is blended with Barbera, Chatus, Nebbiolo, Pelaverga (max. 60%) and other authorised varieties (max. 40%). The four pure red wines Barbera, Chatus, Pelaverga (also as Rosato) and Quagliano in amabile and dolce (also as Spumante in dolce) must be produced from 100% of the respective variety.
