Portuguese name (also Vindima) for the grape harvest; "ano de colheita" means "year of harvest" But in a broader sense it also means "vintage year". Colheita is also one of the variants of the two dessert wines Madeira and Port (at least 85% of the vintage). The term "Colheita Seleccionada" (selected harvest) is used for special qualities of wine.
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
