The red grape variety comes from Moldova. There are over 60 synonyms, a few of which are Cerna Razachia, Coarnă Niagra, Darkaia Nera, Korna Niagra, Lattuario, Moldavskij Chernyj, Negru de Crimea, Persia, Sultanca, Terre Promise Noire. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It is an all-female grape variety. It is used as a winepress and table grape. The variety was a cross-breeding partner in the new varieties Dekabrskii, Doina and Smuglyanka Moldavskaya. No stocks were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson).
