The International Wine Competition "Concours International des Vins de Montagne" (International Competition for Wines from Mountain Regions) has been organised annually by the CERVIM since 1991 (with few exceptions). Its members are the seven countries Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Austria. This international organisation, with its headquarters in Saint-Vincent in the Italian Aosta Valley, was founded in 1987 under the patronage of the OIV. The CIVM is a special event for producers from mountain regions, steep slopes and exposed production areas. Its aim is to promote and better exploit the potential of wines from these areas, which often have major cultivation difficulties and high production costs.

In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
