The red grape variety is a Neuzüchtung between ((Hunisa x Emperor) x Nocera) x ((Hunisa x Emperor) x Piròvano Alberto). Synonyms are C15-47, Davis C15-47, Kristmas Rouz, Qiuhong and S44-35C x 9117D. The Kreuzung took place in 1962 in the USA at the University of California in Davis by the breeder Dr. Harold P. Olmo Harold (1909-2006). The variety is mainly used as Tafeltraube. In 2016, no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson Kym).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
