The red grape variety is a new breeding between ((Hunisa x Emperor) x Nocera) x ((Hunisa x Emperor) x Pirovano 75). Synonyms or breeding numbers are C15-47, Davis C15-47, Kristmas Rouz, Qiuhong and S44-35C x 9117D. The cross was made in 1962 in the USA at the University of California at Davis by the breeder Dr. Harold P. Olmo (1909-2006). The variety is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
