Chautauqua

The red grape variety (also Chataqua) is an open-pollinated seedling of Concord. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera (?). The hybrid was selected in the USA in 1892 by private breeder H. T. Bashtite. The variety is used as a table grape. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
