The winery is located in the commune of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes in the Saint-Émilion area (Bordeaux). The unknown origin goes back to the 17th century. Since 1847, the estate has been continuously owned by the Faniest family. They also operate a small railway, which runs daily in the region as a tourist attraction. Today the estate is managed by Philippe Faniest, supported by his daughter Emilie. The farm was first classified as "Grand Cru Classé" in 2012. The vineyards cover three hectares of vineyards planted with Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 15 to 18 months in 100% new barriques.
