The vineyard is located south-east of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). The estate used to belong to Château Pavie (see the history there). It was bought in 1997 by the wholesale market owner Gérard Perse. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover ten hectares of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The long-lasting red wine is matured for six months in 100% new barriques.
I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
