The winery is located in the town of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It was founded in 1882 by the Meslin family, who were already mentioned as winegrowers here in 1610. The château was built in 1885. The estate has been run by Guy Meslin since 1986. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 27 hectares of vines with Merlot (68%), Cabernet Franc (26%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (6%). The red wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in 50% new barriques. The second wine is called "Lafleur Laroze".
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
