The winery is located in the municipality of Caillac in the area of Cahors in the French wine-growing region of southwest France. It was already founded in 1503 by Adhemar de Massaut. In 1980, the neglected estate was taken over and restored by Alain Dominique Perrin, an entrepreneur working in the luxury sector. He is a fervent supporter of the Malbec variety. The well-known oenologist Michel Rolland acted as consultant. The cellars, renovated after an analysis, were put into operation in 2011. The vineyards cover 90 hectares of vineyards planted with the red wine varieties Malbec(Cot), Merlot and Tannat, and the white wine varieties Chardonnay and Viognier. The natural cultivation is carried out according to the rules of Biodynamic viticulture. Each year, 70,000 to 120,000 bottles of Lagrézette brand wine are produced. In total, the production amounts to around 500,000 bottles, which are exported to China, Japan, USA, Ecuador, Brazil and Europe.
