The vineyard is located in Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé. It was once part of Château Figeac (see the history there). It was acquired by the Sioën family in 1997. The vineyards cover 13 hectares and are planted with Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). Half of the red wine is matured in new barriques. The second wine is called "Prieuré Lamarzelle".
As honorary chairman of the Domäne Wachau, it is the easiest and quickest way for me to access the wein.plus encyclopaedia when I have questions. The certainty of receiving well-founded and up-to-date information here makes it an indispensable guide.
