The winery (also Château Lafleur Pétrus) is located in the Pomerol area (Bordeaux). It is located opposite the famous Château Pétrus, but cannot be compared with it because of the different soil (more gravel, no clay or sand). But it belongs to the family empire Moueix just like this one. In 1994 it was extended by a part of the neighbouring estate Château Le Gay, planted with old vines. The vineyards cover 13.5 hectares and are planted with Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 18 to 22 months in barriques.
