The vineyard is located in the commune of Saint-Pey-d'Armens in the easternmost part of the Saint-Émilion region (Bordeaux). It is owned by Jean-François Julien. The estate was classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 2012. The vineyards cover 3.5 hectares of vines planted with Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%). It is one of the oldest vineyards in Saint-Émilion, as around 1.5 hectares are already over 100 years old. The yield is accordingly very low; in 2009 it was only 25 hl/ha. The Grand Vin is only produced from this part of the vineyard. The long-lasting red wine is matured for 18 months in 100% new barriques. The second wine is produced under the name "Mathilde (Château La Fleur Morange)" after the owner's daughter. It matures for an average of 8 months in barriques that are 50% new.
