The winery (also known as Château les Grandes Murailles) is located on the northern edge of Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. It was owned by the Reiffers family since the middle of the 19th century. It was last managed by Sophie Fourcade-Reiffers, who sold it to the Cuvalier family in 2013. It is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover almost two hectares of vines with 100% Merlot. Vinified on the Château Côte de Baleau (also sold to Cuvalier), this long-lasting red wine matures for up to 20 months in 100% new barriques.
