The vineyard is located north-west of Saint-Émilion(Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. The estate also includes a large quarry. The estate was taken over by the AXA insurance group in 1987, bought by a Belgian group in 1996 and finally by Griet & Hervé Laviale in 2005. It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vines, planted with Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The long-lasting red wine matures in 100% new barriques. The second wine is called "Les Cèdres de Franc Mayne".
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
