The winery is located east of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). Formerly known as Château Petit-Faurie-de-Souchard, the estate was renamed to distinguish it from the neighbouring Château Petit-Faurie-de-Soutard. It belongs to the Jabiol-Sciard family. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 12 hectares and are planted with Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (26%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (9%). One third of the long-lasting red wine is matured in new barriques.
I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
