Château Faurie-de-Souchard

The winery is located east of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). The estate, formerly known as Château Petit-Faurie-de-Souchard, was renamed to distinguish it from the neighbouring Château Petit-Faurie-de-Soutard. It belongs to the Jabiol-Sciard family. The estate is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines, planted with Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (26%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (9%). The long-lasting red wine is aged in barriques, one third of which are new.
