The winery is located in the commune of Gigondas in the southern section of the Rhône in the department of Vaucluse. The name derives from the small stream Trigon, which forms the border between the Gigondas and Sablet areas. The château offers a view of the Dentelles de Montmirail rocky landscape. The former farm with arable land and livestock was founded in 1896 by the Roux family and converted into a vineyard. In 2006, it was acquired by the Quiot family, which owns other vineyards in the Rhône region. The vineyards cover around 90 hectares of vines in the AOC areas of Beaume-de-Venise, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône-Villages (with the communes of Plan de Dieu and Sablet entitled to lead the name), Gigondas, Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, Rasteau and Vacqueyras. Gravity is used in the cellar to preserve the grapes as much as possible. The wide range of products includes wines from the listed AOC areas. Some of them are vinified in concrete tanks, half of which are sunk into the ground.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
