Château de la Grave

The winery is located in the appellation Côtes de Bourg (Bordeaux). It has been owned by the Bassereau family since 1900 and is now managed by Philippe Bassereau. The vineyards cover 43 hectares of vines, planted with Merlot (78%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Malbec (2%). The flagship of the house is the red wine "Nectar" made from 90% Merlot, which is aged in 100% new barriques. The "Charactère" is pressed with a higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. The second wine is called "Château La Croix de Bel-Air-Tradition" with a higher proportion of Malbec.
