Château de la Dauphine

The winery is located west of the municipality of Fronsac (Bordeaux) in the appellation of the same name. In 2000 it was sold (together with the estates Château Canon de Brem and Château La Croix Canon) by Moueix to the Domaines Jean Halley. However, Moueix is still involved and responsible for the operation. The vineyards of 15 hectares are planted with Merlot (95%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). The long-lasting red wine is aged in 20% new barriques.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
