The winery is located in Saint-Émilion(Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. It once belonged to the Dominican order, but has been owned by the Joineau-Borde family since 1902. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards on the edge of the Plateau Calcaire cover eleven hectares and are planted with Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). The long-lasting red wine is matured for 15 to 18 months in barriques, one third of which are new. The second wine is called "Château Beau-Mayne".
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
