Château Carsin

Producer description of "Château Carsin"

The winery is located in the municipality of Rions in the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. It is owned by the Finn Juha Berglund. The vineyards cover a total of 52 hectares. Of these, 31 hectares are planted with the white varieties Sémillon (56%), Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris (44%), and 21 hectares with the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (37%), Cabernet Franc (36%) and Merlot (27%). A further 20 hectares with Sémillon are leased. The white Cuvée de Prestige matures with bâtonnage (see yeast storage) in large wooden barrels, the normal wines in stainless steel tanks. The red wines are matured fruity.
