Château Capbern-Gasqueton

The winery is located in the commune of Saint-Estèphe or the area of the same name in the Médoc (Bordeaux). In the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid, it was last classified as "Cru Bourgeois" in 2003. It is owned by the Capbern-Gasqueton family, who also own the Château Calon-Ségur. It is managed by Madame Gasqueton. The vineyards consist of two parts near the municipalities Calon-Ségur and Meyney. They comprise 35 hectares of vineyards and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (35%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lasting red wine matures for up to 24 months in 30% new barriques. The second wine is called "Le Grand Village Capbern".
