The winery is located north of the town of Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. From the early 1970s until the 1982 vintage, it was split between two branches of the Capdepourlin family, but has now been reunited. It is managed by Jacques Capdepourlin. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vines planted with Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%) and Cot (3%). The extremely long-lasting red wine is matured for 24 months in barriques, one third of which are new.
