The vineyard is located in the municipality of Cadaujac in the Pessac-Léognan area of Graves(Bordeaux). It came into the possession of a US group in 1968 and was modernised and the 18th century château renovated. It was bought by Lucien Lurton in 1980 and has been run by his daughter Sophie Lurton and her husband Laurent since 1992. Both the white and red wines are classified as Cru Classé. The vineyards cover 45 hectares of vines. Of these, 37 hectares are planted with the red wine varieties Merlot (55%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Cot (5%), and 8 hectares with the white wine varieties Sémillon (70%) and Sauvignon Blanc (30%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 18 months in barriques, around a third of which are new. The second wine is called "Château Valoux". The white wine matures for six months in new barriques.
