The winery is located on the outskirts of the town of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It is owned by the Borie-Manoux company (see the closely intertwined Borie and Castéja family history there). The vineyards cover 4.5 hectares and are planted with Merlot (55%), Cabernet Franc (35%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). It was classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 2006. However, it lost this classification in 2012 because the grapes were used as a second wine for Château Trotte Vieille (also owned by Borie-Manoux).
