Chasselas Violet

The white grape variety originates from Switzerland. There are over 50 synonyms, which suggests a great age. Some of them are Ceraso, Chasselas Reale, Chasselas Rose, Chasselas Rouge, Chasselas Rouge Royal, Chasselas Violet du Po, Chasselas Violetto, Chrupka Červená, Fendant Rose, Königsgutedel, Lacryma Christi Rosa, Lacryma Christi Rose, Red Königsgutedel, Shasla Royal and Žlahtnina Kraljeva. It is a somatic mutation with purple berry colour of the white grape variety Chasselas. No stocks were reported under this name in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
