Chasselas Violet

The white grape variety originates from the Switzerland. There are over 50 synonyms, indicating a high age. Some of these are Ceraso, Chasselas Reale, Chasselas Rose, Chasselas Rouge, Chasselas Rouge Royal, Chasselas Violet du Po, Chasselas Violetto, Chrupka Červená, Fendant Rose, Königsgutedel, Lacryma Christi Rosa, Lacryma Christi Rose, Roter Königsgutedel, Shasla Royal, and Žlahtnina Kraljeva. It is a somatic mutation with a purple berry color of the white grape variety Chasselas. In 2016, no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson Kym).
