Changer Katharina

The winery is located in the municipality of Westhofen (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. In the formerly pure cask wine business was started in 2012 with bottle marketing. After internships at the Gutzler (Gundheim) and Keller (Flörsheim-Dalheim) wineries, it has since been run by Katharina Wechsler. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard Benn in the sole ownership with over 50 years old Rieslíngreben, Kirchspiel with the parcel Schweißtröpfchen, Morstein and Steingrube (Westhofen).

They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Scheurebe, Huxelrebe and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Pinot Noir. The conversion to certified organic viticulture is planned to begin in 2019. The wines are vinified according to their origin. In the cellar, a non-invasive principle with as few interventions as possible applies. The premium wines of the house are the site Rieslings Benn (Monopol), Kirchspiel and Morstein. A sparkling wine "Fräulein Hu" is also produced. The winery is a member of the Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen winegrowers' association.
