Cellerina

The red grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Balsamina, Cellerina, Cellerino, Moccagatta, Salarina, Sinréna, Slarina Rara, Slarinna and Slerina. The parentage is unknown. The medium to late ripening vine with blue-black berries yields red wines with violet aroma. It is cultivated on a small scale in the province of Asti(Piedmont). In 2016, two hectares of vines were designated there (Kym Anderson).
